The Parliamentarian is the quarterly journal of Commonwealth parliamentary democracy published by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Secretariat. It contains articles and analyses written by Members and parliamentary officials to provide insider insights from those directly involved in major political, parliamentary, electoral and constitutional developments in the Commonwealth’s 185 Parliaments and Legislatures.

The Parliamentarian publishes: analyses of political policy innovations; guides to good governance practices developed by leading parliamentary practitioners; two Profiles a year on the politics of leading Commonwealth Parliaments and Legislatures; summaries of debates at the annual Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference; parliamentary news and legislation, and features on such issues as women in politics, conflict resolution, development policies and parliamentary and political reform.

Special attention is paid to the Commonwealth’s smallest Parliaments and Legislatures and to the political and parliamentary challenges faced by the more than 30 jurisdictions around the world with populations of 500,000 or less.

Individual future issues and back issues can be purchased within the app for £2.49.
